Lefty Jordan Woods got the Opening Day start for the Terriers, striking out five in three innings of work on route to a 12-2 win over the Ontario Royals.

The Terriers jumped out to an early 1-0  lead when center fielder Cameron Chee-Aloy laced a triple into the right field corner, then crossed on a balk.

The Royals made it close in the third, scoring twice to make it 3-2 but the Terriers put the game away in the fifth with a nine run outburst.

‎With one out Chee- Aloy was at it again, stroking a single up the middle to get the rally started. He swiped second, then Hugh Pickney and Max Lanoue both walked. Andrew Johnston was next in and he would crack an RBI single to left, scoring Chee-Aloy. Right handed hitting Will Yanka made it 6-2 when he smashed a two RBI single to the gap, scoring Pickney and Lanoue. Yamka, Pelton and O'Hearn scored later in the inning on Jack Duggan's three RBI triple to the left center field gap. Sartor picked up Duggan with an RBI double of his own, then crossed on another Chee-Aloy RBI.

Bryce Burgess-Whiting fired the final two innings on the mound. He struck out two.
