16s Move To 6-0 In PBLO
The 16U Terriers swept two games from the Ontario Yankees on Saturday by 5-1 and 5-2 scores.

In game one the Terriers came away with a slick win backed by an outstanding pitching performance by Julian Russell.

Julian fired six innings, striking out 10 along the way.

The Terriers fell behind 1-0 in the bottom of the third when the Yankees scratched for a run.

That lead lasted till the fifth, when the Terriers offense finally broke through for two runs.

Noah Mitchell lead the inning off with a bunt single, then went to second on Ethan Cane's single that eluded the Yankee short stop.

Both advanced on a wild pitch allowing Mitchell to eventually score  on a bases loaded walk to Liam Bavington.

Canne crossed for the go ahead run on Josh Cote's RBI ground out to the right side.

In the sixth Mitchell scored again when Tyson Gomm dunked an RBI single in front of the Yankee's left fielder. That made it 3-1.

Two more Terriers crossed in the seventh after Josh Cote doubled and scored on Evan Farrell's RBI fielder's choice.

Ethan Magloughlin plated  the Terriers final run, courtesy of a ‎Kawshik Murali RBI single up the middle.

Josh Cote came on to pitch the seventh to secure the 5-1 victory. ‎

The Yankee starter had command issues to begin game two.

He walked the first three batters he faced, Ethan Magloughlin, Tyson Gomm and Liam Bavington.

Josh Cote was next in and he would deliver an RBI single through the 3-4 hole to score Magloughlin.

‎Bavington and Josh Cote also scored with two out later in the inning for an early 3-0 Terriers lead.

The Terriers tacked on two more runs in the fifth and lefty Rhys Montgomery cruised through six innings, striking out 11Yankee hitters for the win.

The teams meet again Sunday morning at 9:30am for another DH. ‎
