Spring Training Results... Day 1
After a day of practices on Thursday all four Terriers teams took the field under sunny skies today at Baseball‎ City in St. Petersburg, FL.

The 16u Terriers were matched against the Georgia Premier Academy in game one and would come away with a 10-8 victory. 
Cameron Chee-Aloy crossed in the top of the first after being hit by a pitch, stealing second, scampering to third on a wild pitch then scoring on Andrew Johnston's fly ball to center field. Cameron also had a double and a triple in this one.
Georgia tied the game in their half of the inning, then took a 6-1 lead with five in the bottom of the third.
The Terriers roared back in the fourth with a four spot. Nicolas Daoust, Ryan Pelton, Hugh Pinkney and Rohan Singh all had hits during the rally that got the Terriers back in the game.Two in the fifth, two more in the sixth aided by a Zach Christie double, and one in the seventh was enough for the 16s to hang on for the 10-8 win.

The 15u and 18u Terriers both tied their opening contests. 

The 15s were pitted against the Red Sox in a game that went back and fourth, eventually ending in a 9-9 score. 
Lucas Alberti lead the offense with four hits and two RBI. Chris Dawidow smacked three hits and cashed three RBI while Luca Alagheband, Brody Middlehurst and Lucas Brown all had singles. Declan Troy had a clutch three RBI triple late in the game to get it tied.

Lefty Jordan Woods got the start on the mound for the 18s against the IMG Baseball Academy. ‎He was excellent through three innings of work, striking out four while allowing just one hit and no runs.
 The Terriers took a 3-0 lead after two innings of play. Austin Gomm scored their first run after he walked, stole second then crossed on Conrad Erasmus's RBI single to left. In the second, Ethan Cane scored on a pass ball then Ethan Magloughlin plated the Terriers third run on Austin Gomm's sac fly RBI to right. 
IMG tied the game with a three run third, then went up 5-3 with single runs in the fifth and sixth. In the bottom of the sixth the Terriers scratched out two runs for the 5-5 tie. Liam Bavington scored on Daniel Freeman's RBI double, then with two out Andruis Jurenas cracked an RBI single up the middle, scoring Freeman. Righthander Matt Brown fired the sixth and seventh, striking out five while allowing just a hit.

The 17u Terriers had a wild opener falling 12-11. 

They were up against the Georgia Premier Academy and came out of the gate on fire with a six run top of the first. Jakob Cellupica, Brayden Makowich, Dylan Oborne and Colin Cymbalista had four consecutive singles. Ayden Finn had a double and Aiden Mendoza rounded out the six hit bat around inning with an RBI single. Unfortunately Georgia chipped away and eventually took the lead in the fourth with a six run rally. 
The ‎17s made a push in their final at bat but couldn't quite close the gap. Julian Russell, Quenton Race (double), Ayden Finn (double), Matt Torresan and Jakob Cellupica all counted hits in a three run seventh that ended up falling one run short. 
Noah Mitchell started the game and was a bright spot on the mound. He struck out three while weaving his way through three innings‎.

All four teams are back at it tomorrow.
