Max Lanoue Earns Scholarship to Stony Brook University
Terriers RHP Max Lanoue will be taking his nasty pitching arsenal to Stony Brook University. Max committed to become a Seawolf in 2022 this past week after he received a scholarship offer from Stony Brook Head Coach Matt Senk. Congratulations to the Lanoue family on their son's opportunity to continue his education and compete at the NCAA D I level.

Max impressed the Stony Brook coaching staff this past fall with outstanding outings at Monroe Community College and on the St‎ony Brook campus for a camp. Max possesses ‎well above average secondary pitches and a fast ball that projects to be at a level necessary to get Division 1 hitters out. He also emits a mature mound presence and demeanor ‎well beyond his years.

The Seawolves have proven to be the class of the America East over the past decade-plus, winning five conference championships and five regular season titles. Their most unforgettable run was in 2012 when they got all the way to the College World Series, taking down the Miami Hurricanes and the LSU Tigers along the way. This made them the first northeast school since 1986 to advance to the CWS. In addition, seven Seawolves were drafted that year.

Max attends Oakville Trafalgar High School. He is currently in grade 11 and plays on the baseball and hockey teams. ‎He has been on the honor roll for the past two years and has been named Athlete of the Month on two occasions. Max also competed in Oklahoma this past year at the Sophomore Sunbelt Tournament.

Continued success Max.
