That set up yet another date with the 18u Terriers who had defeated the Ottawa- Nepean Canadians in their semi by a 4-3 score.
RHP Liam Carey got the starting duties and worked three efficient innings. He left the game with a 4-2 lead.
Lefty Luke Earle carried the ball the rest of the way en route to the championship. He struck out four.
With the 18s leading 1-0 Jakob Cellupica picked up a sac fly RBI in the top of the second, then Jacob Mahoney put the 17s ahead 4-1 with a two RBI double that was sliced down the right field line.
A fifth insurance run was scored in the top of the fifth when Conrad Erasmus drilled a single up the middle, advanced on a Connor O'Halloran ground out, then scored on Matt Torresan's RBI single to the gap.
